After enjoying our fascinating Belgrade Downtown tour, Belgrade Out There offers you an optional lunch in one of the famous traditional restaurants in the bohemian Skadarlija vintage street. Skadarlija dates back to the 1830s and later attracted many of the country's leading poets, writers and free thinkers. The bohemian spirit of the past remains today although you are just as likely to run into tourists as artists.

Present day Skadarlija is one of Belgrade's leading tourist attractions. It includes well-known restaurants, eclectic art galleries, as well as fascinating antique and souvenir shops. During most afternoons, groups playing Serbian brass or traditional urban music, along with actors dressed in traditional Serb costumes, perform in Skadarlija, adding yet more colour and vibrancy to this remarkable corner of Belgrade.

Most restaurants offer the typical national cuisine, most notably roštilj (grilled meat) with rakija ( serbian brandy). Skadarlija's cafés, restaurants, art exhibits and cobblestone promenade attract up to 20,000 people daily, with double this number at the height of summer.
